My Story

My name is Megan Roche and I am excited to share a little bit about me.

Ever since I was a child, I have followed every passion that I have ever had. For years, that passion was the love of the game of softball, and then it became all about musicals and theater. I threw myself into singing lessons and had a dream to become the next American Idol while I was in high school. During my freshman year of college, I was all about becoming the next best foreign language teacher this world has ever seen. However, Journalism 101 changed my life.

From working my way through the ranks at various internships to landing the editor role I currently sit in, my passion for this field is reignited each and every day that I wake up. Writing, to me, is an escape from reality. I love delving into tough topics with people, especially when our views don’t match. I live for storytelling in new and innovative ways. I also hope to inspire the next generation of young journalists.

I am often inspired by a quote from Mark Twain, “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Truer words have never been spoken. My job, day in and day out, is not work. I am passionate, hardworking, and ready to tackle any project, big or small.

I always strive to learn and develop my literary style and voice, approaching every challenge I come across as an experience to grow and develop as a writer. Don’t hesitate to reach out, even if it is just to introduce yourself. I always enjoy talking with other journalists. To find out more or to discuss a potential project, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
